Stockbridge theatre group on the look-out for new members at Trout n’ About
Amateur thespians will bring a hint of class and a splash of colour to Trout n’ About 2025 when they don period dress to mingle with visitors on Stockbridge High Street.
Members of the Stockbridge Amateur Dramatic Society will be in costume and character to mark the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen’s birth.
The Society – formed in 1933 – will have a stall outside Stockbridge Town Hall, where it stages three productions every year.
Chair Sarah Litten sees TnA as the perfect opportunity for a recruitment drive.
She said: “In recent years we’ve staged some amazing productions – we put on really good plays. However, we need new members.
“We have around 40 active members but we’re looking for more.
“At Trout n’ About, we’ll have the stall, posters and photos from past productions, details about the society and members dressed in costume to chat about Stockbridge am-dram.
“Everyone is welcome!”
Stockbridge Amateur Dramatic Society will be outside the town hall at TnA, from 10am on Sunday August 3. Anyone interested in joining should email stockbridgeamdrams@gmail.com
