Come along to our free, family event.
Trout ‘n About is a free to attend event, run by volunteers to support and promote local food, drink and craft businesses whilst raising funds for our local community and charities.
Visitors can enjoy a variety of stalls that are lining the High Street and the Festival Field.
Donations from the day will be used to support local charities in and around Stockbridge, Hampshire.
To date we have raised over £50,000 to support the local community.
Looking to grab a bite to eat, entertain the kids or just relax? Visit the Festival Field at the recreation ground at the end of the High Street.
Alternatively, why not take advantage of one of the many eateries on the High Street. Many of our local businesses will be open on the day and many are sponsors of Trout‘n’bout.
What to expect on the day
Traders
The High Street will be around 150 traders , with even more in the VineYard and on the Festival Field - plenty of food, drink, arts & craft - come and see what we have on offer. You can check out the traders page for an up-to-date listing on who is attending. Or you can follow our Instagram or Facebook accounts for up-to-date trader goodness.
Lost Children, First Aid, Loos & Bins
If you see something happening that you’re not happy about please approach a T‘n’A volunteer on the High Street - or talk to a T‘n’A official at The Town Hall.
There will be a First Aid point located at the St Peter’s Church in the middle of the High Street. The public toilets will be open (located near The Three Cups) and on the High Street opposite the Festival Field Entrance.
There will be additional bins provided that will be available along the High Street and on the Festival Field.
Please use the bins provided for your rubbish, or take it home with you. Let’s keep Stockbridge litter free.
Festival Field
Based on the recreational ground, there will be live DJ, food, drinks, seating areas and activities for the kids. There will be plenty of mouth-watering choices to eat and lots of great entertainment for you to enjoy. Why not bring chairs and a picnic blanket to spend the day!
Dogs
Dogs are welcome to the event, but we ask you keep them on a short lead because of the crowds. Of course as the High Street is closed to traffic the event is very dog-friendly. There will be water bowls available along the High Street for your pooches.
Car Parking
As in 2025, we will be charging for carparking. In line with other local festivals, including Watercress and Cuckoo Fair, this will be £10 per car.

Visitors may find it quicker to use Car Park West, by Danebury School.
From Winchester: Take the A303 to Andover bypass. Turn onto the A343 Salisbury Rd, then the B3084 to Middle Wallop. Go past Danebury Hill Fort, then turn onto the A30 for Stockbridge.
From Romsey: Turn off the A3057 and head for Houghton. Come out of Houghton and turn left onto the A30, at Longstock.

Car
Car parking is £10 per vehicle and will be provided in fields at either end of the High Street. Please follow the signposts. There will be no parking available on the High Street. Please do not park on the roundabouts or verges.
