Raise a glass to The White Hart - a great Stockbridge pub

Trout ‘n’ About Sunday is always one of the busiest days of the year for Stockbridge local The White Hart

So landlord Paul Lockwood was very happy to get involved with the event again, for a second year, as a sponsor.

“Stockbridge is a great community – and we’re a great community pub,” he said.

“The whole town gets involved in Trout ‘n’ About. The White Hart is delighted to be a Rainbow Sponsor.”

For T ‘n’ A 2026, on Sunday, August 2, The White Hart will have two live music sessions - one from soulful acoustic guitarist Jak Chantler and the other with popular acoustic duo Dragonfly Sky

The 16th century coaching inn will also have extra tables in and around its recently-refurbished, outdoor garden terrace The Warren.

Brewery Fuller’s – which owns The White Hart – has just invested a substantial sum sprucing up both the terrace and the pub’s 24 guest rooms.

A handful of guest rooms are still available for this year’s Trout ‘n’ About weekend.

Paul added: “We have a fantastic team here, who all work hard and do a great job. So we’re really looking forward to Trout ‘n’ About 2026.”

For this year’s event, the iconic green King Alfred buses - ferrying Trout ‘n’ About visitors from Car Park East, off the A30, by Old London Road - will drop off outside the front door of the White Hart.

T ‘n’ A organisers hope the new bus stop will help ease congestion on the main roundabout and make it safer for visitors.

White Hart assistant manager Ellie McConaghey added: “Trout ‘n’ About is an incredibly busy day. But it’s a great atmosphere!”
