A message to Trout N’ About traders

All Trout N’ About 2025 traders have received these instructions, by email…

Dear Traders,

We are looking forward to meeting you on 3rd August at Trout and About, as a committee we have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure that we have got the road closure again and this year we have also secured more car parking than ever for the event, which should mean more people are able to attend and stay longer and hopefully spend more money with you. But before we get to the big day, we have some housekeeping to make you aware of, to ensure that your arrival and departure on the day go smoothly.

Arrival

For High Street traders (listed on the graphic above), arrival is from 7.30am to set up your stall.

For TnA traders in Vine Yard (listed on the graphic below), arrival is from 6.30am to set up your stall. Vine Yard entrance is next to the Greengrocers (The What Three Words Code is ///aimless.punters.recruited). Sarah from TJ Brew’s will be there to allocate your space.

Both ends of the High Street will be open until 9am.

Please remove your vehicles no later than 8.45am to the TnA trader car park (pictured below) which is located at the field over the bridge in Longstock, (the Salisbury end of the High Street). In order to enter the TnA car park, you will need a TnA trader pass which must be filled in with all your details. These will be given out on the morning of the event during your set-up. The What Three Words Code for the entrance to the field is ///relegate.toothpick.happier.

This will ensure that we can successfully close the road on time ahead of the event opening at 10am. If you need your vehicle with your stall for refrigeration purposes, please could you let us know ahead of the event so that we aren’t chasing you on the day to remove it.

Toilets

There will be the public ones open halfway down the High Street and additional portable loos at the roundabout end of the High Street available. The Town Hall will also be open and there are also loo’s located in there as well.

Refreshments

There are a number of coffee shops along the high street as well as food vendors with stalls that you can purchase items from during the event.

Card Payments

If it is not too far we would suggest popping down to the High Street to confirm that you can get signal, as sometimes it can be patchy, just double check for your piece of mind it is working. There is a cash point located in Co-op but with the volume of people expected on the day, we are not sure how long it will stay topped up with money.

Paperwork

Please ensure that you have all your necessary paperwork with you on the day, in case it is needed be viewed by the Trout and About team or Test Valley Borough Council if they pay us a visit.

Departure

The event will be finishing at 4pm, please try and be as prompt as possible stopping trading at that point, to ensure that we can successfully disperse the crowds before the road opening at 5pm. We will be re-opening the trader’s car park from 4.30pm and we ask that you drive at no more than 5mph and use your hazard lights as you head down the High Street to your stall.

We hope you have a very successful event, and we look forward to meeting you on the day.

Kind regards,

Katie, Trout N’ About Committee
