The Grosvenor - Silver Sponsor of Trout ‘n’ About 2026

English sparkling wine and oysters will be on offer outside The Grosvenor

Stockbridge’s magnificent Grosvenor Hotel has a remarkable history - shaped by fly-fishing, horse-racing and some of the finest food Hampshire has to offer.

During the 1800s one of England’s biggest annual spring cattle shows was held, every July 10, in fields just behind the hotel.

This Sunday The Grosvenor will be at the centre of one of Hampshire’s most celebrated food, drink and craft fairs - Trout ‘n’ About 2026.

Visitors can enjoy lunch or dinner on the terrace in The Grosvenor’s stunning walled garden.

Out on the High Street, English sparkling wine and freshly-shucked oysters will be served under the hotel’s iconic coach gate.

“Trout ‘n’ About is always such a wonderful day,” said Sophie Hawkins, the Grosvenor’s Sales, Marketing and Events Manager.

The Grosvenor is a Silver Sponsor of this year’s Stockbridge Trout ‘n’ About - a fitting role for one of the village’s best-known landmarks.

The hotel has welcomed generations of locals, anglers, walkers and visitors exploring the Test Valley.

It was built in the early 19th century by Richard Grosvenor, later the 1st Marquess of Westminster and MP for Stockbridge.

Since then, it has hosted weddings, celebrations, charity events, business meetings and countless family gatherings.

For the people of Stockbridge, The Grosvenor has always been much more than simply a hotel.

Sophie added: "We're proud to be at the heart of Stockbridge - and that includes Trout 'n' About.

"The festival brings together everything that's special about this village. It celebrates local businesses, local producers and the fantastic community spirit that makes Stockbridge such a welcoming place.

"We love seeing the High Street full of people enjoying themselves, discovering local food and spending time together.

“Whether you're joining us for oysters under the coach gate, relaxing in our riverside garden or simply popping in for a drink, we're looking forward to welcoming everyone and helping make it another memorable Trout 'n' About.”
