Festival favourite Juggling Jake back for Trout n’ About 2025

🤹‍♂️ Juggling Jake has been entertaining the crowds at Trout n’ About for more than a decade.

🎪 His funniest memory of TnA is from many years ago when he set up his pitch on the small patch of grass outside St Peter’s Church, on Stockbridge High Street.

“My canopy just about squeezed on there,” he said.

“We set up at eight o’clock and there was a church service at nine, I think. So, the congregation were walking through as they arrived.

“There was a great energy – it was really vibrant. But it felt like the service was being held under the canopy!”

🤡 Jake – the best-known circus skills entertainer in Hampshire – now has a bigger arena when he comes to Stockbridge. His bright orange canopy will again take pride of place on Festival Field (the Recreation Ground) for TnA 2025.

😄 Children love trying out the juggling kits, Hula hoops, spinning plates, stilts and unicylce But it’s the chance to pick up devil sticks and diabolo that’s often most popular.

“The devil sticks are very easy to get into,” says Jake.

“Basic tricks are simple. But then you start throwing, catching and turning the sticks over. It’s something [the children] enjoy – and they don’t give up too easily!”

🎉Jake’s ‘Star Shade Canopy’ - keeping the sun (or rain!) off the next generation of young circus trainees - will be pitched on the TnA Festival Field.
