We’re celebrating 20 years of Stockbridge Trout ‘n’ About
More than 10,000 people enjoyed Trout ‘n’ About 2025
One of Hampshire’s best-loved summer traditions is preparing for a landmark year…
Stockbridge Trout ’n’ About celebrates its 20th anniversary on Sunday, 2 August 2026.
What began in 2007 with a handful of stalls on one side of Stockbridge High Street has grown into one of the region’s premier food, drink and craft festivals, attracting more than 10,000 visitors every year and showcasing the very best of local talent, produce and community spirit.
This year’s event promises to be better than ever, with more than 150 traders lining a traffic-free High Street and Festival Field. Visitors can expect a wonderful mix of artisan food and drink, handcrafted gifts, live entertainment and family-friendly activities throughout the day.
The famous River Test Distillery - based in Longparish - has a pitch at Trout ‘n’ About
From brewers and bakers to blacksmiths, florists, jewellers and butchers, Trout ’n’ About offers a unique opportunity to meet the people behind some of Hampshire’s finest products and craftsmanship. It’s a true celebration of local enterprise and rural life.
But the festival is about much more than a great day out. Run entirely by local volunteers, Trout ’n’ About has become an important force for good in and around Stockbridge.
Since 2012, the event has donated more than £70,000 to local schools, charities, churches and community groups, helping to support projects and organisations across the Test Valley. Another £10,000 will be handed over to local good causes from this year’s event.
The chair of the Trout ‘n’ About organising committee Bob Powell has paid tribute to the sponsors, volunteers, traders and visitors who have been an integral part of the event during the past two decades.

He said: “Trout ’n’ About wouldn’t happen without the incredible support of our community. This 20th anniversary is an opportunity to celebrate not only a fantastic event, but also the people who have helped it grow into something truly special.”
Last year’s Trout ‘n’ About included - for the first time - a performance by The Winchester Morris Men.
This year’s Trout ‘n’ About will take place on Sunday, 2 August 2026. Stockbridge High Street will be closed to traffic from 8am to 5pm.
